Deals Orchard is a family owned and operated orchard just outside of Jefferson. Spend your afternoon picking your own Zinnia bouquet from their expansive Zinnia field or find your way through their corn maze. Make your way through their orchard while you pick your own apples and pick out the perfect pumpkin for your front stoop. Make your way inside to enjoy some of their fresh cider donuts and hard cider while listening to live music. Deals’ is a great place for a day date or a day away with your family!

Jump in the car and visit the rolling hills of Madison County. Visit the infamous Bridges of Madison County, stroll along the shops of the courthouse square in Winterset, and explore Winterset’s beautiful and unique city park. Looking for a slower pace day? Madison county is also the home of two fabulous wineries Madison County Winery & Covered Bridge Winery. Last but certainly not least the Winterset Cidery is a must stop, featuring a variety of flavors of hard ciders amongst the scenic rolling hills of Madison County.

Fenceline Beer Labs sounds like it should be known for its incredible beers, and don’t get me wrong their beer is amazing, but their food is incredible as well. From the best brussel sprouts I’ve ever had, to culinary masterpieces that they feature as specials each week, to their spent grain pretzels you won’t be disappointed when you leave this little hidden gem you can find on Huxley’s Main Street. With it’s convenient location between both Ames and Ankeny, you can end your evening by grabbing a movie after dinner!
